Super 8 Wedding Videographer

filmmaker based in florida, serving couples worldwide with thier wedding day captured on super 8 film

There is just something about film.

Super 8 mm film is a motion-picture film format released in the 1960s to document real life - birthdays, vacations, and yes, even wedding days.

For decades, it lived in living rooms and shoeboxes, projected onto walls, preserving ordinary days that later became extraordinary simply because they were kept.

It wasn’t created for cinema.
It was created for memory.

That history is part of what makes it so powerful. When your wedding is filmed on Super 8, it already carries the language of nostalgia. It feels inherited, even though it’s brand new.

If you’re drawn to old home movies, heirlooms passed down, or footage that feels like it lived before you did, Super 8 might be for you.

YOUR WEDDING DAY CAPTURED ON SUPER 8 FILM

Your day is documented on authentic Super 8 film stock using vintage cameras. The film is then professionally developed and digitized to ensure longevity and easy sharing.

Because it’s analog, there are no retakes. Each roll of film is only about three minutes long, so every shot, every roll is intentional, which is why it's important to find an expert Super 8 film wedding videographer. The natural restraints of film invite creativity. When something is limited, it requires presence and thoughtful composition. In many ways, the constraint becomes the freedom. It invites us to slow down and document your day with care rather than excess. This is why we love it.

Because film is such a meaningful part of what we do, Super 8 is included in all of our wedding collections. It isn’t treated as an add-on, a trend or an afterthought. It’s woven into our approach and truly part of our style as super 8 videographers.

For couples who are drawn specifically to analog, an exclusive Super 8 wedding video can also be booked as a stand-alone service upon request.

Turnaround times allow for the film development process, and the final product is delivered digitally for easy viewing and preservation.

How is Super 8 different from digital video?

faq

Super 8 is analog and completely manual. There are no instant playbacks, no unlimited recording, and no perfect stabilization. Each roll lasts about 3 minutes, so every shot is intentional. The imperfections are part of what make it beautiful and honest.

Will we still have audio?

No, Super 8 itself does not record audio. We thoughtfully pair Super 8 with digital footage so we can record clean audio throughout your day. Vows, speeches, and ambient moments are captured separately and then layered into the final film.

When will we receive our Super 8 film?

Because the film must be shipped and developed before editing, turnaround time varies depending on the film lab. The process is slower by nature, but that is part of the fun.

Why do couples choose Super 8?

The nostalgia. Couples are drawn to the way it feels. It has a warmth and intimacy that mirrors memory. It invites everyone to slow down, to be present, and to embrace the day as it unfolds rather than trying to perfect it.
